JETMX was renamed Challenge Technic at the end of last year, in line with the Group’s rebranding. It currently employs around 60 certified technicians and roughly 25 mechanics and store staff at its five locations. Fully EASA 145, BCAA, UK CAA, and TCCA certified, they carry out a broad pallet of line maintenance services for all B737 types through to B747, B757, B767, and B777 variants and A318/319/320/321 versions. These include transit checks, ETOPS pre-flight checks, borescope inspections, daily & weekly checks, and A-Checks. Other services include engine washing, engine changing, cabin defect rectification and other troubleshooting measures. 24/7/365 AOG support is available, as are flying spanner services.
Reducing the environmental impact is part of Challenge Technic´s mission statement as the company strives to contribute in lowering the environmental footprint. Their main goal is to reduce carbon emissions by reducing aircraft delays. Also, responsible disposal of chemicals and waste is taken very seriously at Challenge Technic, without exception.
Vast experience, technical knowledge, and a solution-orientated leadership team is the key to Challenge Technic´s success. Knowing how to tackle various issues efficiently and keep the aircraft flying takes all of these qualities. Being a part of the Challenge Group gives Challenge Technic access to vast resources to be efficient and get the job done.
As an example, one of Challenge Technic´s larger customers drastically improved the dispatch reliability of its fleet by selecting the company as its maintenance service provider. In this case, proactive maintenance, good production planning along with close communication with operators’ maintenance control proved to be essential. All this resulted in a major freight network awarding Challenge Technic the best on-time performance among the three airlines serving the network.
“I think every operator is looking for an MRO that is efficient and will minimize aircraft downtime. This is an attribute that Challenge Technic focuses on and we have a long list of happy customers to prove it. Any operator who values quality maintenance should definitely get in touch with us,” informs Ulfarsson.
