THANK YOU FOR SUBSCRIBING
It manufactures, modernises, and distributes sophisticated rocket systems, artillery munitions, defence technologies, and aerospace equipment worldwide. Today, EDePro is an internationally renowned entity in the field of R&D and large-scale production of various rocket systems and civilian applications for related industries.
“We are more than just manufacturers; we are enthusiastic collaborators that believe even the smallest of contracts can lead to game-changing solutions in the future and reshape the defence landscape,” says Predrag Milos, deputy general manager of EDePro.
This partnership-driven approach enables EDePro to navigate diverse scenarios across Europe, like sourcing armaments from the East and products adhering to NATO standards from the West. Despite its home ground not being under NATO, the company fulfils all relevant procedures and certifications. It considers this an ongoing learning process to meet NATO and non-NATO customer requirements. While achieving technical and logistical diversity remains a common challenge, EDePro tailors products and services to fully satisfy client needs regardless of the required level of sophistication.
At the heart of this success lies a team that constantly strives to learn, refine, and optimise its offerings to meet stringent standards. From preliminary R&D, design of propellant grains and swift prototyping to full-scale motor production, static testing and validation, EDePro’s personnel holistically handles these processes internally using proprietary technologies and methods to deliver consistent excellence.
The team also has extended capabilities for aerodynamic, external ballistic analysis, designing propellant grains, and guidance and control systems. Further boosting is EDePro’s ability to conceptualise and produce innovative materials for fabricating critical components such as combustion chambers and nozzles. At the end of the production cycle, the motors undergo final assembly and a rigorous qualification process, including intensive static testing procedures for increased performance and reliability.
EDePro’s collaborative initiatives and joint ventures yield promising outcomes, such as the development of laser-guided anti-tank missiles and the Pauk/Spider system, both boasting a range exceeding eight kilometres. The company is also one of the leaders in the production of the unguided artillery rocket - 122mm GRAD, specifically its MLRS GRAD G-2000 version, which has an extended range of up to 40km. This 122mm program has garnered widespread acclaim and adoption in numerous countries worldwide in the years since its launch.
Besides the original GRAD and G-2000, EDEPro’s 122mm program consists of G-2000P (portable), a rocket shorter in length than the original G-2000. It showcases minimal dispersion and exceptional precision at a range of up to 21 km thanks to the significant weight reduction driven by in-house thermoplastic fuel. At the same time, the rocket versions G‐2000SL and G-2000SL+ have an extended range over 44 km and greater accuracy.
Beyond new product development, the company supports clients to regenerate the service life of existing ammunition stock, effectively mitigating the issue of expired pyrotechnics and propellant grain. It produces replacement propellant grains that allow clients to extend the life of their ammunition stock with minimal financial investment, using products with the same or even improved characteristics compared to their current inventory.
Equipped with strong R&D and production capabilities, EDePro is known to complete diverse projects, developing anti-tank, air-to-air, air-to-ground, ground-to-air, ground-to-ground, and air-to-air rockets and missiles. It has also pioneered designing highly optimised, aerodynamically shaped warheads with increased range at the same mass and volume of contemporary offerings. Instead of resting on its current achievements, EDePro now aims to develop and design cutting-edge products and services revolving around UAVs like helicopters, drones, and missile systems.
Talking about the future, Milos reiterates the ethos of EDePro, “We don’t limit ourselves to colossal deliveries; we’re equally invested in small-scale and special endeavours to assist clients in meeting the needs of today and tomorrow.”
