THANK YOU FOR SUBSCRIBING
Dimitris Perdikaris, CEO“Simulation tech helped me prepare pilots for the unthinkable,” says Perdikaris. “It let me place them in situations too dangerous to attempt in real aircraft, yet essential for their growth. That was when I saw the full potential of simulation.”
As his career progressed, Perdikaris became both a Flight Simulation Training Device (FSTD) operator and inspector. These roles revealed the lesser-seen side of aviation training: the world of regulatory standards and performance oversight. That experience made one truth clear, most simulators either delivered authentic flight experiences or met certification criteria—but rarely both.
Perdikaris founded JetSims to close that gap—to merge regulatory precision with the realism pilots truly need.
The company’s simulators fulfilled the criteria to strike a balance between technical fidelity and regulatory compliance. Each device is engineered and upgraded, to comply fully with EASA CS-FSTD(A), giving approved training organisations (ATO) and airlines confidence that their realistic training programs carry full regulatory recognition.
Trainees step into an environment that feels true to flight—responsive, precise and safe—without compromising compliance. Internally, JetSims maintains a rigorous quality system that tracks device availability, utilisation and restart ratios, ensuring continuous reliability and audit readiness.
Even the smallest details are given close attention. Radio communication training, for instance, aligns with CAP 413 standards to ensure cadets use the exact phraseology examiners expect. It may seem minor, but it prevents wasted hours, failed checks and inconsistencies in assessment.
“I personally attended the FSTD Inspector Course at the JAA Training Organisation in Hoofddorp, earning certification to ensure full compliance with the latest regulations and standards. I had the honour of being nominated by the Hellenic Civil Aviation Authority and participating in numerous audits. This experience gave me valuable exposure to various synthetic training device technologies, manufacturers, and qualification requirements,” says Perdikaris, CEO of JetSims.
Ecosystem Built for the Cadet Journey
Every pilot’s story begins the same way—hands slightly trembling on the yoke, learning to balance instinct with control. JetSims has built its entire simulator ecosystem to support cadets from their first handling lesson to the advanced dynamics of airline operations. Each stage follows evidence-based programs such as the Airline Pilot Standard Multi-Crew Cooperation (APS MCC) course, ensuring every phase builds toward the competencies airlines value.
Mastering the fundamentals begins with the S923 fixed-wing simulator. Pilots practice handling, navigation and systems awareness. The simulation starts as a single-engine trainer, evolves into a multi-engine piston aircraft and later into a turboprop, introducing higher speed, greater complexity and asymmetric flight conditions that define a pilot’s growth.
From there, the training intensifies. The A320 FNPT II MCC immerses cadets in the world of jet operations, where speed amplifies pressure and teamwork becomes instinctive. They are trained to communicate with precision, follow procedures under pressure and adapt to the rhythm of airline flying. For one airline partner, the impact was evident in higher pass rates, decreased costs and cadets entering type rating training better prepared and more confident.
The B738 FNPT II MCC sharpens those skills further, simulating the energy of a busy flight deck. Split-second decisions, workload management and shared responsibility determine every outcome. For cadets, this phase becomes the real bridge between classroom theory and the realities of airline flying.
That bridge leads to the Edge 6D, JetSims’ next-generation simulator, where realism reaches its peak. Six degrees of motion, integrated VR and AR environments, and live ATC interaction create an experience nearly indistinguishable from real line operations. Cadets’ judgment is tested in dealing with performance restrictions, cascading faults and sudden weather shifts, turning their technical proficiency into operational readiness.
The human factor completes the ecosystem. Airline-seasoned instructors pass down subtler skills—decision-making, crew coordination and adaptability—teaching cadets how to weigh options before making the safest call. Behind the scenes, JetSims’ internal quality system tracks device availability, utilisation and restart ratios, ensuring schedules hold and throughput stays predictable.
Trainees leave the program equipped with the coordination and composure airlines seek. With AI-assisted flight data analysis, ATOs can also monitor performance trends and refine training outcomes, ensuring every lesson builds professionals ready for the complexity of modern aviation.
Building Tomorrow’s Training Hub
Having built its reputation on quality training and high-fidelity simulation, the company now looks beyond the simulation device itself to become a trusted, independent training hub for the broader aviation community.
It is extending the same advanced simulation capabilities to cabin crew training, allowing operators to manage cockpit and cabin training programs under one roof with consistency and adherence to standards.
JetSims is also exploring opportunities to serve military and defence programs, laying the groundwork for a shared hub where civil and defence aviation coexist—each learning from the other’s precision, discipline and operational culture. Training analytics and digital twin systems will help instructors measure progress in real time, providing feedback that’s both precise and deeply personal.
Regional expansion is moving in tandem with this growth. By forming partnerships with training centres across Europe, JetSims is ensuring that wherever cadets train, the experience and the quality remain identical.
JetSims’ goal is to build a centre of excellence where technology, realism and human expertise converge to shape the next generation of aviation professionals, preparing them for the future of the industry.
