The COVID-19 pandemic has considerably lowered demand for air transport and thus reduced the number of flights. Fewer planes flying also means more occasional maintenance needs. In this context, all elements of the MRO industry have seen their business severely impacted. Before the crisis, the MRO arena was expected to represent an international market of $87 billion. Now, however, that expectation has dropped down drastically to $35 billion. The prospect of a rebound has helped the industry recuperate from this staggering blow. Many MRO organizations are on the move to create better, more streamlined solutions for the aerospace industry.
