12th Joint Space Operations Summit to take place March 4-5, 2026, in National Harbor, MD

The 12th Joint Space Operations Summit (formerly the Space Resiliency Summit) brings together senior leaders from across the DoD, IC, International Partners, & Commercial Space Solution providers to discuss the policies and operations necessary to ensure dominance in the space domain.

Attendees will have the chance to hear sessions focused on the future of space defense and how collaborations, particularly joint partnerships, will be key in maintaining space superiority. Leaders will discuss key topics like modernizing space-based surveillance technologies, promoting cooperation between commercial and international partners, and integrating resilient and responsive space capabilities.

As our competitors actively develop capabilities to disrupt, degrade, or destroy the space systems that underpin modern military power and civilian life, we must recognize space as a critical warfighting domain. In this era of strategic competition, actors such as Russia and China are increasingly active in space, creating a new front of confrontation. The focus has shifted from merely protecting U.S. assets and promoting resiliency to actively projecting power in space and striving to maintain U.S. influence. Additionally, the barriers to entry continue to fall, the space domain is becoming an increasingly contested operating environment. Space is no longer a future theater; it is an active front crucial not just for overall national security but for operations across Air, Land, and Sea. U.S. intelligence, defense, and commercial organizations actively leverage space capabilities for communications, scientific pursuits, intelligence, reconnaissance, and missile detection efforts. Compromising these assets would have tremendous consequences on national security and the well-being of the nation.

Current doctrine and operations are now singularly focused on protecting allied access to space, denying hostile advantages, and preserving stability in this increasingly contested environment. This Summit explores the technologies and policies needed to ensure continued U.S. dominance in the space domain. Attendees will hear firsthand from leaders on collaboration across the Department of Defense (DoD), international allies, and commercial partners. The future of space defense is inherently collaborative, with commercial integration and joint partnerships serving as the linchpin for maintaining space superiority. Innovators will also explore space-based mission capabilities, with dedicated panels on satellite surveillance and fostering innovation in resiliency and responsiveness in space systems.

Key Topics of Discussion Include:

• Shaping the Future of Joint Space Operations Through Enhanced Capabilities

• Achieving Superiority in the Critical Space Domain for US National Security and Prosperity

• Developing Policy and Strategy for the US Military to Defend US Interests in Space and Prevail in the Ever-Changing Threat Landscape

• Achieving Space Superiority by Maintaining a Technological Advantage in Space
