By nature, there is a well-known inverse relationship between these three capabilities, which simultaneously goes against the grain.

As a leading ballistic protection solution provider, Nurol Teknoloji’s overarching aim is to design, produce, and deliver the highest degree of ballistic survivability with minimum weight— causing the least possible (if not zero) compromise from manoeuvrability or firepower. Nurol Teknoloji has the capability to design and produce advanced ballistics ceramics. This includes in-house R&D, design, production, and testing capability that gives the company great strength, flexibility, agility, and confidence to produce customertailored solutions in every field of ballistic protection.

Nurol Teknoloji is capable of producing Alumina (Al2O3), Silicon Carbide (SiC), and Boron Carbide (B4C) ballistic ceramics in different formed tiles or as multi-curved monolithic plates and its advanced ceramic and hard ballistic plate solutions are complemented by soft ballistic panel, composite, and spall liner ballistic products.

With an enormous number of diverse solutions for SAPI plates completely based on the end users’ technical specifications, requirements, and preferences, Nurol Teknoloji delivers products with different materials (different ceramics and/or composite), standalone or ICW (in conjunction with) solutions, various plate shapes, and altering protection levels. One of its flagships is the standalone NIJ Level 4 Boron Carbide (B4C) multi-shot SAPI plate which is around 2.5 kilograms and has already been delivered to numerous end-users in hundreds of thousands.

On the platform protection side, Nurol Teknoloji has delivered add-on armors, ballistic plates, ceramic reinforced composite solutions, and spall liners for numerous AIFVs, APCs, AAVs, and tactical (8x8/6x6/4x4) vehicles. The total number of land platforms that is currently in operation and armored by Nurol Teknoloji could be counted in the thousands. The company’s ballistic armor solutions are not limited to the Turkish Navy but in use on board most modern combatant naval platforms and also on board some other naval forces operating from the strait of Gibraltar to the Indian Ocean.

Regarding structural protection, Nurol Teknoloji is capable of delivering armored mobile C3 containers, UAV Control Stations, real-life support modules for deployed forces, and guard and sentry boxes. The company is further coming up with a new product, MODKOR, which is totally developed in line with the needs and experiences coming from the field. This modular blockhouse-based ballistic protection solution enables rapidly deployable forces such as SOF or Commando units to establish defensive parameters in and around their forward-deployed bases or newly occupied tactical positions with total flexibility.
