Jayson Scott Wilson, President & CEO“Revv Aviation is more than just a flight training provider. We’re building an ecosystem that connects aspiring pilots, aviation enthusiasts and corporate clients to a comprehensive range of services,” says Jayson Scott Wilson, president and CEO. “Our mission is to create pathways—from initial training to advanced careers in aviation to comprehensive maintenance capabilities, specialized charter and airlift services and safety.”
At the heart of Revv’s offerings is its Flight Academy, which tailors training programs to meet diverse student needs. It also provides clear career pathways for graduates, enabling them to translate their skills into professional success. Led by Lisa LaMantia, senior vice president of Revv’s aviation flight academy, the program stands out for its personalized approach to training.
“We customize training to fit each student’s learning style, building on their prior experience to make the learning process seamless,” states LaMantia.
Revv’s hands-on, practical training fosters an environment where students gain real-world experience. Instructors often use relatable analogies to simplify complex concepts like very high frequency, omni-directional range (VOR) navigation systems. Taking it further, the company provides a clear career trajectory for graduates, offering pathways to instructor roles and other opportunities within its broader operations.
Students can accumulate hours through instruction or progress into charter roles, flying advanced aircraft. At the same time, the company collaborates with regional airlines to support graduates’ long-term career growth. To address the financial barriers associated with pursuing flight training, Revv actively explores opportunities and introduces cost-effective training options, including access to next-generation training aircraft. Above all, its one-on-one attention and structured syllabus enable students to learn at their own pace.
Revv’s expertise extends beyond flight training to various aviation services. Its charter division provides passenger services and specializes in aeromedical evacuations, demonstrating its critical role in delivering essential services. A notable example includes supporting a corporate client with an urgent aeromedical evacuation that required precision scheduling and seamless coordination between its operations team and flight crews. This adaptability is central to Revv’s mission of delivering reliable, client-focused solutions. As part of its strategic growth, it is now expanding into international cargo operations, with plans to begin missions in Ghana, underscoring its ambition to enter new markets and strengthen its global presence.Revv’s charter division also manages several different aircraft, providing operations and maintenance oversight for several different types of aircraft. The company’s fleet includes King Airs, Pilatus aircraft, and light jets, underscoring its versatility and ability to cater to diverse operational requirements. Partnerships like the one with REVA, a leading air medical provider, further reinforce Revv’s commitment to offering essential and specialized services. This operational breadth is supported by extensive Part 145 maintenance capabilities, which include propeller and reciprocating engine repair, airframe repair, and avionics. These services ensure the reliability and safety of the fleet. Beyond smaller aircraft, Revv also performs airframe and engine maintenance on a variety of turboprop aircraft, both for the company’s own aircraft, as well as for outside customers.
Another cornerstone is Revv’s thriving Fixed Base Operator (FBO) network, which includes three CAA-approved FBOs serving regional and municipal airports. These facilities provide essential services at smaller airports, where maintenance costs can be challenging, and are managed with the same attention to detail as larger facilities. It also continually invests in equipment and personnel to enhance its ability to maintain fleet readiness and effectively support client needs.
“With multiple bases across the Midwest, we are deeply rooted in regional aviation, which allows us to tailor services to the unique needs of the communities we serve,” states Aaron Mingle, Vice President of Operations.
Revv operates on a foundation built by seasoned professionals with decades of experience and facilities rich in aviation legacy. Recognizing the industry-wide shortage of skilled technicians, it proactively recruits and retains talent through partnerships with the Department of Defense’s SkillBridge Program.
“We are cultivating a talent pipeline to meet the rising demand for airframe and power plant (A&P) technicians by incorporating apprenticeships, internships and mentorship initiatives that ensure Revv Aviation can address emerging challenges with agility and scale without disruptions,” adds Wilson.
“We create symbiotic partnerships, focusing on mutual benefit and holistic understanding of client operational, maintenance, logistical, training and financial expectations,” says Wilson.
With its emphasis on quality, safety and adaptability, Revv provides clients with a complete aviation ecosystem to deliver dependable, innovative solutions tailored to their needs.
