Serco easily navigates the complexities and demands of military logistics. It leverages AI and ML techniques to enhance various facets of services operations. These technologies optimize mission operations, fortify platform sustainment, boost maintenance efficiency, and improve readiness outcomes. It also provides strategic planning, program management, and training services to enhance the capabilities and performance of the armed forces. Its various defense clients include the U.S. Navy, Air Force, Army, and others, which it has served for over 60 years.
Leaning on this experience, it features impressive subject matter proficiency. The offerings range from support for legacy logistics and depot maintenance systems and platforms to next-generation solutions like the F-35 Lightning II and B-21 Raider.
Serco’s industry involvement is wide and varied, extending from logistics services to logistics systems, including a significant role in ACAT 1-level acquisition programs.
One of the persistent challenges in federal space, particularly in logistics, is the ever-present demand to do more with less—achieving better results at lower cost. Affordability remains a prime concern. The full lifecycle expertise gives a broader view enabling customers to plan short-, medium-, and long-term goals, and support informed decision making for better acquisition and logistics outcomes. This approach helps increase readiness while ensuring the best value for budgetary dollars and taxpayers.
A history of supporting hundreds of systems through business case analysis informs its acquisition planning, analysis, and support services. Its ‘should-cost’ analysis, used across government procurements, has saved over $8 billion for programs and customers in the Department of Defense (DoD) alone. Serco involves itself at multiple levels - from the Pentagon’s policy and planning to operations in the field. This range enables them to integrate technical expertise with on-ground information, improving program execution and preparation.
Data analytics is a critical aspect of Serco’s offerings. It is actively transforming technology use across businesses, leveraging digital engineering, cloud migration, and cybersecurity to supplement and enhance the services. This includes cyber systems engineering, software development, and more traditional 3PL, highlighting their versatility and breadth of services.
Looking forward, Serco aims for a more balanced support structure for a wider range of DoD customers. Its growth strategy includes incorporating advanced technology into its business and logistics support to augment the services delivered to its customers.
An ethos of mission-first and people-first sets Serco apart. This focus is evident in its work ethic, its partnership with its customers, and the trust they place in Serco. With an emphasis on delivering top-tier service while fostering a supportive work environment, it stands out in military logistics, and beyond.

Under the contract, Serco will continue to provide life-cycle sustainment of physical security/access control and command, control communications, and computers and intelligence (C4I) systems to ensure the continuous operation and advancement of the PS2-EA, previously known as the Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection (AT/FP) Electronic Surveillance Systems (ESS). By doing so, Serco empowers security personnel with the tools needed to make informed decisions and efficiently manage a spectrum of security technologies, ensuring a robust and effective security ecosystem.
“Serco has been at the forefront of delivering anti-terrorism, force protection technology services to the U.S. Navy globally since 2003,” said Tom Watson, Serco Inc.’s Chief Executive Officer. “This contract award underscores our commitment to the mission, and I commend the exceptional Serco team for their role in providing these mission-critical services.”
