The maintenance of aircraft, tanks, and other vehicles plays more than a critical role in maintaining the military strength of a country. Talentscale embraces its socio-economic status of being a Small Business Administration (SBA)-certified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB); it has been delivering high quality services in the Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) and Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) spaces for nearly 14 years. The company has extensive experience working on aircraft maintenance and integration projects in support of companies like Sierra Nevada Corporation, Amentum, BAE Systems, Scaled Composites, SpaceX, and Virgin Galactic. Doug Poldrugo, Founder & CEO of Talentscale, served as a United States Marine until 1997. After serving his country, he continued to support the military when he joined Aerotek and supported their technical staffing offering supporting military agencies.

In his 12-year tenure there, he served initially as a Recruiter and as a Director of Business Operations (DBO). His efforts at Aerotek allowed him to expand touch labor services within the aviation and aerospace communities. Understanding that there was a niche providing high quality touch labor services to military agencies, Doug started Talentscale in August 2008 out of his home in Temecula, CA with a sole mission to employ Veterans of the US Armed Forces and continue to support military agencies.

The company has evolved considerably and now provides augmented touch labor services to CLS and MRO support offerings for commercial and government aviation and aerospace markets, with a focus on targeting contracts supporting Department of Defense fixed and rotary wing assets. Within nine months of being founded, Talentscale secured its first subcontract supporting a critical mission at Nellis Air Force Base where it provided 25 personnel to support maintenance efforts on F-15, F-16, A-10, and F-22 aircraft platforms. Since its inception, Talentscale has worked with every branch of the US Armed Forces as well as multiple government agencies. In addition to its experience with the US Government, the company has a rich history in the commercial market as a subcontractor and supplier. Talentscale embraces its long-standing business relationship with Stratolaunch, Scaled Composites, Virgin Galactic and SpaceX on the Scaled Composites Model 351 Stratolaunch aircraft platform. The company supported these projects in Mojave, CA from design, to build to present day test flights. Talentscale continues to support Stratolaunch in the development the Talon Hypersonic Aircraft.

When clients are not able to meet their staffing demands, they primarily leverage Talentscale to complement their resource management staff and mitigate risk. These requests are modeled to a Statement of Work (SOW) or Performance Work Statement (PWS) for all contract deliverables. Scope documents such as these identify all the different technical elements of the actual program, from the maintenance cycle to the required system modifications as well as contractual deliverables. Talentscale’s success is directly related to its Quality and transparent Program Management. Talentscale’s management approach is complemented by its AS9110C/ISO 9001:2015-compliant Quality Management System (QMS) coupled with its web-based Management Information System (MIS.) These two systems offer transparency and real-time status of multiple program elements like safety, transition, contract performance, training, staffing, quality performance, and medical surveillance to all program stakeholders, 24/7/365.

As a proven CLS/MRO staff augmentation services provider, the company has recently secured two prime contracts supporting the DoD. Talentscale’s strategic vision is to leverage Veterans with proven experience and build a leadership/executive staff and continue to shape the company to meet the business and technical demands in the aviation and aerospace markets and touch labor offering. In May of 2020, Talentscale was awarded one of 42 prime small business contracts to Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) indefinite delivery indefinite quantity (IDIQ) multiple award contract (MAC) titled Kits, Recovery, Augmentation, Components and Engines (KRACEn). KRACEn is a $6B, 10-year prime contract where the company will be competing for task orders within the NAVAIR community. Additionally, in the summer of 2021, Talentscale was awarded a prime contract supporting an IDIQ MAC on Seaport Next Generation (NxG) by Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA). Talentscale is confident that it can use its augmentation abilities to complete task orders with ultra-high efficiency.
