With its own operational fleet of aircraft, the MRO provider has acquired an inert knowledge of the various challenges that persist in the industry.

Located in Stuart, Florida, Wing Aviation Maintenance has a MRO facility and mobile aviation mechanic teams that are capable of performing any repairs on an aircraft within their operational range. “As an operator functioning under Charter Fleet 135 Standards, we discovered areas where aircraft maintenance is hard to find and understood that other operators might require similar services as well,” elucidates Colbath. With an average experience of six years for every technician in a deployable crew, Wing Aviation Maintenance is further exploring newer territories, such as Teterboro, California, Texas, and Chicago. “Instead of an operator having to transport an aircraft to our facility, our mobile teams drive to their locations and save that money overall for the operator,” says Colbath.

Most recently, Wing Aviation Maintenance successfully completed one of Gulfstream’s largest inspections (Gulfstream 5000 landings) on one of their own G4 aircraft in a very tight timeframe. With the success of this operation making headway in the corporate aviation industry, Wing Aviation Maintenance was contacted by Bombardier, a Customer Response Center, when a Global 6000 under its management was on the ground in Melbourne, Florida. Within an hour of receiving the maintenance dossier, a team was sent to the location, and on arrival, were able to narrow down the problem to a single part that had been compromised. In the time spent for Bombardier to send the part from its home facility to Wing Aviation Maintenance’s crew, not a second was wasted in preparing the aircraft for immediate repairs. Wing Aviation Maintenance’s team not only lent a helping hand in unloading their passengers’ baggage but also set out to complete the equipment replacement the very same night.

Pushing forward and continuing a journey of excellence that best captivates the strengths of the MRO services provider, Wing Aviation Maintenance will add new members to its workforce and build more MRO mobile teams by the end of Q1 2022. “We want to give the crew, the operator, or whoever that is working with us an experience they will remember,” expresses Colbath.
