THANK YOU FOR SUBSCRIBING
InTrack Radar Technologies (IRT) was founded to change that. Built by engineers, for engineers, IRT is designed with one principle in mind: true mission success begins with technical mastery. Specializing in SDA, Missile Warning (MW), and Missile Defense (MD), IRT partners closely with defense contractors to provide cutting-edge radar and optical tracking solutions.
“At IRT, engineering isn’t just what we do—it’s who we are. Our success is built on the relentless pursuit of innovation and the drive to solve the toughest challenges for our clients,” says Morgan Nicholson, CEO of InTrack Radar Technologies.
One of the cornerstones of IRT’s offering is its advanced radar and optical tracking capabilities. By fusing data from both systems, IRT delivers a comprehensive view of space activity—enhancing situational awareness across defense and aerospace missions. The company monitors orbital objects, from active satellites to debris and rocket stages, recognizing the critical need to prevent collisions and disruptions.
Built on Engineering: A Culture That Delivers
This hands-on, expert-driven model produces high-impact solutions that support national security. And it’s made possible by a culture that prioritizes engineering above all. As a flat and internally funded organization, IRT remains agile and able to quickly adapt to changing priorities—unencumbered by the layers of bureaucracy that often slow larger firms.
The company fosters an open, collaborative environment where the best ideas—not titles—guide decisions. The result is a highly motivated, low-turnover team that thrives on solving hard problems and pushing boundaries.
Turning Challenges into Breakthroughs
IRT’s engineering-first approach consistently delivers results, especially when others fall short. Take, for example, a failed software development effort by a prime contractor for a military radar system. After a year of setbacks, the program was on the brink of collapse. IRT stepped in and, within just three weeks, rebuilt and deployed a fully operational software solution—rescuing the program and restoring confidence.
Another standout example is IRT’s role in shaping the Space Force’s SDA Prototyping and Experimentation (TAP) Lab, located in Colorado Springs, Colorado. As an early contributor, IRT helped build the lab into a thriving innovation ecosystem, now comprising over 100 companies. Through efforts like satellite stability analysis and launch nominal automation, IRT has elevated SDA capabilities for both government and commercial clients.
Whether it’s missile warning, space domain awareness, or advanced tracking, IRT ensures that each mission is executed with exceptional precision. By staying true to its engineering roots, the company not only advances space technology—it safeguards critical space assets and strengthens national security, one successful mission at a time.
