Today, NAS is a complete nose-to-tail component solution provider for airlines and engine maintenance facilities. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA)-approved company operates 145 repair stations, which specialize in repairing and overhauling electrical accessories, instruments, radio, emergency equipment, airframes, and powerplants.
NAS was once approached by a client with a high beyond economical repair (BER) for the cockpit windows on their Embraer fleet. When the windows were affected by moisture ingression or delamination, they had to be discarded. To mitigate this challenge, NAS developed a designated engineering representative (DER) repair with a warranty, which helped them significantly cut costs and allocate funds to other programs.
NAS always stays at the forefront of the industry. Even during the pandemic, it seamlessly adapted to customer requirements amid workforce problems and supply chain issues.
One of a handful of shops in the U.S. providing in-house radome transmission efficiency tests further differentiates NAS MRO. Its tests make aircraft navigation more precise, helping clients stay in line with the evolving navigation governance regulations. NAS assists aircraft in performing quality and efficient radome repairs with a short turnaround time without interfering with or degrading transmit capabilities.

The addition of cockpit windows, landing gear, and battery repair departments is indicative that as a repair station NAS is not satisfied with the status quo.
