Ric Parker to assist Boom in shaping the future of sustainable supersonic air transport.

Boom Supersonic, creating one of the world's fastest airplanes for speed, safety, and sustainability, has named Professor Richard (Ric) Parker a senior advisor. Ric will help Boom industrialize the Overture supersonic airliner's propulsion system. Parker's appointment is Boom's next strategic milestone after declaring the production Overture and forging connections with tier one suppliers, Northrop Grumman and American Airlines.

Parker is currently the Chair of the Singapore Aerospace Programme, the country's premier research effort to improve its aerospace industry, and he also heads the Low Carbon Energy Research Programme. Before his work in Singapore, Parker spent nearly 40 years with Rolls-Royce Group, including 15 years as the company's Chief Technology Officer. Parker was in charge of the company's whole technological portfolio and future developments in aerospace, military, marine, and power generation.
Currently, Ric serves as the President of the International Society of Air Breathing Engines (ISABE). He is a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering, the Royal Aeronautical Society, the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, and the Institute of Physics. He is also a Distinguished Visitor to the UK National Physical Laboratory.
