“DAIMEX Baltic 2026”: A Unique-Format Event Featuring High-Level Defence Industry Discussions and Live Military Technology Demonstrations
The international non-commercial defence industry event “DAIMEX Baltic 2026”, held in Lithuania over two days, brought together more than 2,000 representatives from politics, armed forces, defence technology and business communities from over 30 countries worldwide.
“Over the past few years, Lithuania’s defence industry has grown significantly stronger. Today, we have reached a level of maturity that allows us to take the initiative and organise an international event of this scale. Our goal is to bring together regional businesses, institutions and experts for closer cooperation, strengthening the defence capabilities and competitiveness of the Baltic states. We have the ambition to develop this event into a long-term platform that genuinely advances regional defence industry cooperation,” said Vaidas Sabaliauskas, Head of the Lithuanian Defence and Security Industry Association.
A high-level conference held in Vilnius focused on NATO’s eastern flank security, defence technologies and investment in local capabilities. Discussions involved representatives of the defence ministries of the Baltic states, NATO, European Union institutions, and defence, industry and technology experts from Ukraine, Israel, Canada, Germany and other countries.
Key topics included air defence, drones, artificial intelligence, autonomous systems, logistics and regional defence industry cooperation. The conference also featured a series of expert-level presentations on modern warfare, including insights from defence technology expert and former Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) officer James Acuna.
The second day of the event was dedicated to live technology demonstrations under real operational conditions. At the General Silvestras Žukauskas Training Area near Pabradė — one of the region’s most advanced military training grounds in terms of infrastructure — companies showcased unmanned aerial systems, counter-drone technologies, mobility, reconnaissance, communications and C4ISR solutions already used in defence operations and recognised by NATO partners and Ukrainian forces.
A total of 130 companies from Europe, North America, Asia and the Middle East presented their latest products and technologies at the training ground.
Prior to the event, the DAIMEX.lt platform facilitated 1,045 business meetings and hosted 115 business and cooperation listings, while the number of live B2B meetings during the event itself reached 350.
“DAIMEX Baltic 2026” was organised by the Lithuanian, Latvian and Estonian defence industry associations together with the Lithuanian Riflemen’s Union. The event was held under the patronage of the President of the Republic of Lithuania, Gitanas Nausėda. The main partner was Chief of Defence of Lithuania General Raimundas Vaikšnoras, with the Embassy of Canada to Lithuania serving as partner. Media partners included DELFI and Aerospace & Defense Review.
The event was non-commercial.
